It's the 6th... so that means we're celebrating 8 MONTHS past "Days to Live"!!

Short medical update. Julia has enjoyed her anniversary with a puke-free, well-rested day! She slept great last night, and has been awake, happy, and pleasant all day =) Her blood counts are dropping, as expected, so she got some platelets today, and will likely get more blood tomorrow.

Speech therapy stopped by as scheduled, but she was mid-blood transfusion and that takes priority. They were unable to come back, so Julia has had a light therapy week. But she's played in bed and has done lots of squirming on her own.

An update on the pink spot on her chest: at this point no one believes it's infection, they believe the needle casing was just rubbing on her chemo-sensitive skin. So that should clear up in a few days with no issues. That's great - an infection near her chest port is NOT what we wanted!

Oh, and if you enter the room while she's behind her iPad, she either sticks an adamant "no-finger" up over the top, or she pushes the iPad to the side and peeks around to see who it is <3 <3 It depends on if daddy is an option to walk in the door! If he's already beside her, the no-finger it is.
